So I've been waiting to post my photos from Pollux until after my trip into the dry gorge (ropes course). Everything all set: I had organized photos from the summit showing how we were eating lunch concomitantly in both Switzerland and Italy, the crampons and ice axes in action on the way up and down, the picture of my fellow teacher and friend mid-fall when he dropped into a crevasse on the way up to the summit, pictures of the gorge and all the tightrope-walking, ledge-clinging, rope-swinging, zip-lining action that was involved in the trip (movies included!!!). And normally I load all the pictures/movies then click "no" when the camera asks me if I want to delete the originals. But this time, for some DUMB reason, I clicked "yes." And low and behold, iPhoto quits all of a sudden, deleting EVERYTHING. I scrambled to find any trace of the pictures and movies, but of course I lost it all.
So incredibly bummed.
